The new Verna is radically different from its predecessor as opposed to most facelift models that get only a handful of changes.


The new Verna gets a new  dark chrome radiator grille that is flanked by LED headlamps. There are LED fog lights, LED tail lamps and new alloy wheels. Furthermore, the new Verna is also available in Turbo variant which gets some interesting design elements like dual tail pipes, silver inserts on the front bumper, and rear diffuser and all black interiors






Talking about interiors, on the inside, the new Verna 2020 comes equipped with a total of 12 segment-first features such as Along with this, larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPLay connectivity and an Arkamys Surround Sound System, Driver Rear View Monitor (DRVM), ECO coating and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

The biggest and the most significant update however the addition of the BlueLink connectivity suite with up to 45 features that offer vehicle security and alert, vehicle relationship management, remote access, location-based services and AI.



The Verna 2020 is available in four variants -- S, S+, SX and SX(O)

And 3 engine options;

  1. A 1.5-litre CRDi Diesel that produces 115bhp and 250nm of torque paired to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter.
  2. 1.5-litre Gamma Petrol good for 115bhp and 144 nm of torque mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed CVT.
  3. And the party piece, a 1.0-litre T-GDi Turbocharged Petrol Engine that churns about 120bhp and 172nm of Torque. Only the 1.0-litre Turbo variant gets a 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) gearbox.
